GERMANTOWN, WI (August 3, 2021) – Germantown, WI-headquartered MGS Mfg. Group, a global provider of integrated manufacturing solutions for complex, high-precision plastic components, is pleased to announce the promotion of Shawn Krenke to Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Automation.

In this newly created senior leadership position, Krenke will be responsible for advancing the technology solutions critical to the success of the company’s customers across increasingly sophisticated, fast-changing markets. Emphasis will be on four primary areas:

Driving the development and integration of custom, cutting-edge technologies that automate the production of highly complex products, integrate manufacturing processes and drive greater efficiencies and performance.

Accelerating customer adoption of its recently formed iMGS business which vertically integrates its world class capabilities through cross-functional collaboration and centralized accountability.

Ongoing development of automated solutions that include multi-shot equipment – which the company pioneered – vision, inspection, assembly equipment and more.

Supporting the ongoing integration of iMGS and advanced technologies throughout MGS’ North American and European operations following the 2021 acquisition of Formteknik, an innovative tooling solutions provider.

According to Paul Manley, MGS president, “It is with great enthusiasm that we name Shawn to lead this increasingly important area of our business. His demonstrated ability to advance the development of technology and automation solutions has played an integral role in driving MGS’ growth. The knowledge and expertise he brings to this role will be invaluable to the company as we evolve our position as a leading global contract manufacturing partner.”

Krenke’s 22 years with MGS includes several automation and engineering leadership positions, most recently Vice President of the Automation Group, which he was instrumental in founding. This experience is coupled with hands-on development of a broad range of the company’s automation and technology solutions. Krenke began his career at MGS after graduating from Moraine Park Technical College.

According to Krenke, “As we look to the future, MGS has a tremendous opportunity to accelerate the utilization of technologies across our businesses, and to drive innovation and speed-to-market through the vertical integration of our tooling, molding and automation capabilities. I’m very excited about the advantages this brings to customers across markets and across the globe.”
