Problem/Opportunity Identification
Opportunity identification is the early investigation into new ways of creating better user experiences and better products for users and health care professionals. At this stage, the main focus of the User Experience (UX) and Design team at MGS is the user needs. What are the challenges faced by the patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals today?
Based on observations, qualitative interviews and co-creation with users or health care professionals, we identify problems at three levels:
- Explicit problems that are obvious to the end users or healthcare professionals themselves and therefore can be talked about.
- Tacit problems that are difficult to express and discuss.
- Latent problems that have so far remained hidden despite being real and tangible issues.
Our team can translate this set of problems into new ways of innovating a medical device and, consequently, create business value.
